One of my clients, Nicola Collins, wanted her beloved feline friend to know she was loved when she "slipped away" . She commented:
"I was there until the very end with my little cat.
"I was sobbing my heart out but stroking her head and letting her know how loved she was until she slipped away.
"How could I not be ? She gave me 14 years of love and I wanted her to feel safe and loved.
"I’m crying again now as I write this, god I loved that old girl.
"I had her cremated and spread her ashes in the garden where she most liked to sleep on sunny days." And now I have got this painting of her from Linda. I put it beside my bed and wake up to still see her face every morning.
